Self-paced Learning is any kind of Learning that proceeds based on learner response. The content itself can be curriculum, corporate training, technical tutorials, or any other subject that does not require the immediate response of an instructor. Self-paced Learning is constructed in such a way that the learner proceeds from one topic or segment to the next at their own speed. This type of Learning is becoming increasingly popular as the education world shifts from the classroom to the Internet.
Self-paced courses do not follow a set schedule. Course materials are completely available as soon as the course begins. Assignments and exams do not have a start or due dates. The course shows indicators for graded assignments, but not due dates. You can complete assignments and exams at your own pace, as long as you complete all course work before the course ends.
